A classic pound cake recipe as it includes a pound of flour,  a pound of sugar,  a pound of butter and  a pound of eggs.


Unsalted butter Caster sugar Eggs Self-raising flour Baking powder Milk Strawberry extract


1. Whisk butter and sugar, add in the eggs. Combine flour and baking powder and add in the batter.

2. Add pink food color and mix until combined.

3. Add cake batter to the loaf tin and bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes.

4. Make glaze from strawberry puree, strawberry extract and icing sugar. 

5. Decorate with the glaze and sliced fresh strawberries.

Serve plain or with whipped cream.
