Easy Turkish Flatbread

Turkish bread is soft, chewy, delicious, and smells fantastic. Make a large batch when making this bread because it is a crowd-pleaser!

INGREDIENTS

All-purpose flour Warm water Warm milk Salt Sugar Instant rise yeast Olive oil Herbs Chili

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Combine the dry ingredients. 

2. Add in the warm water and warm milk. 

3. Stir with a fork until combined. Add some olive oil.  

4. Fold the dough with  your hand. 

5. Form the dough into a ball put some plastic wrap on top of  the bowl. 

6. Let rest for 1-1,5 hours.

7. Dust a clean surface with all-purpose flour. Gently tuck the dough towards the middle to form a ball.

8. Cut the dough into equal-sized pieces, and roll them into balls. Gently use a rolling pin to flatten the dough into a circular shape.

9. Heat a pan and cook the rolled dough on each side for 2-3 minutes on medium to high heat.

9. Brush the bread with olive oil or melted butter, dust chili powder on top and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.

Once the bread is ready, wrap it in a clean cloth to keep it warm.

Serve these turkish flatbreads with chicken doner kebab. 

Turkish bread is also tasty with a salad.

Hummus is a nice side.
