INDIAN TANDOORI CHICKEN KEBABS

This version of tandoori chicken is easy to make as chicken skewers.  The chicken is first  marinated in yogurt and spices and then grilled.  You can also cook these on a grill pan on the stovetop or use airfyer. 

INGREDIENTS

Chicken fillets Yogurt/curd Tandoori Masala spice mix Turmeric Chili powder Garlic Ginger Lemon Oil Red food color (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut the chicken fillet into cubes and add them to a medium-sized bowl. Add in salt and lemon juice. 

2. Grate fresh garlic and ginger. 

3. Combine yogurt, spices, and oil in a separate bowl.

4. Mix well. To get deeper red color you can add some red food coloring. 

5. Pour the tandoori marinade into the chicken and mix well. Leave the chicken cubes to marinate in the fridge.

6. Add cubes of chicken to skewers.

7. Heat a grill or grill pan on the stove. Spray each chicken tandoori skewer with oil and cook on both sides on low/medium heat for 10-15 minutes.

The chicken skewers can also be cooked in oven on baking tray or in an air fryer. 

Serve alongside yellow rice, salad and naan bread for a delicious dinner.

Yellow rice is fluffy rice flavored with turmeric, garlic and onion.
