Cook Time: 45 minutes

  • 1 kg Chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup Plain flour
  • 1/2 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup Hot sauce
  • A splash of oil

  • Preheat the oven at 230 °C. Cover an oven rack with aluminium foil, lightly oil the foil and set aside.
  • Add flour, baking powder, salt, chilli powder, garlic powder to a large bowl and whisk (add other seasoning if you wish).
  • Use a paper towel to pat down each wing until they are dry. Then dip each wing into the flour mix, place them unto the foil and make sure they are 2 cm apart.
  • Bake wings for 40 minutes and turn half way through.
  • While the wings are baking get started on the sauce. Melt 1/4 cup of butter in a saucepan on a low heat. Then add 1/2 a cup of hot sauce, season to taste if necessary and cook until the sauce starts to bubble.
  • Once the wings are ready remove them from the oven. Dip and drench each wing into the hot sauce and serve as desired.
