Fried Bulgur with Veggies and Shrimp

This fried bulgur with shrimps and veggies recipe is filled with flavour! We added shrimps, cabbage, broccoli,carrots and more to this delicious dish.

  • 1 cup of bulgur wheat
  • 3 chopped carrots
  • ½ broccoli
  • 2 chopped garlic cloves
  • ¼ chopped white cabbage
  • ½ an onion
  • A handful of fresh prawns peeled and chopped
  • 1 egg


  • Boil 2 cups of water and 1 cup of bulgur in a pot. Then, once it’s boiling, bring it down to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add the handful of prawns to a bowl. Season it with salt, pepper, lemon juice, and whatever other spices you want. Let it marinate for a while in the refrigerator.
  • Heat up some oil in a separate saucepan, then add your chopped vegetables and egg. Add herbs like curry powder, turmeric, thyme, and anything else. Pan fry these veggies for about five minutes.
  • Add your cooked bulgur wheat and prawns to the pan with the veggies in it. Stir well and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
