Grab a medium sized bowl. Add 1/3 cup of soy sauce, 1/2 a cup of honey, 2 tbsp of vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 2-3 crushed cloves of garlic, 2 tsp of chopped fresh ginger, salt to taste, pepper to taste and stir well. Option: to adjust seasoning to your taste at this stage. Reserve about half of the marinade to baste the chicken later on while it bakes in the oven.
Pour the marinade on to the drumsticks and mix everything together well. Then, cover the drumsticks and leave them to marinate in the fridge for a minimum of 1 hour. For more flavour marinate for 24 hours.
Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas 6. Once the chicken drumsticks have finished marinating add them to a lightly greased oven tray and bake for 30 minutes. You will need to turn and baste the drumsticks every 10 minutes to get a delicious flavour and colour.
Once the chicken is done garnish with sesame seeds, herbs (or spring onions) and serve!
