Smooth, sweet and delicious, this Easy Cream Cheese Frosting is perfect for carrot cakes, red velvet cakes and banana cakes. It is thick, holds shape and is made with three ingredients in less than 10 minutes!
Add unsalted butter to a bowl. Whisk it for 1-2 minutes.
Next, add cream cheese to the bowl and whisk it with the butter until they are both combined or for 2 minutes.
Add one-third of the icing sugar to the bowl and mix with a spoon or spatula to prevent it from spilling. Then use a handheld whisk and mix until just combined. Repeat this step with the remaining icing sugar.
Whisk for 2-3 minutes or until the mixture is smooth. Do not overmix the frosting, as this will make it runny.
Use this cream cheese frosting for carrot cake and other desserts.

If the ingredients are not measured correctly, the consistency of the frosting will be affected.Proportion: This recipe can be doubled or tripled depending on the size of the dessert.
