Green banana plantain chips are the perfect homemade healthy snack to get you through the day! Try this easy recipe and impress your family and friends.
Preheat the oven at 180°C. Cover oven rack with foil. Then, lightly oil the foil with olive oil and set aside.
Peel the skin of the plantain and use a mandoline slicer or a knife to thinly slice the plantain. Lightly season the plantain slices with salt and pepper to taste. Then, place the plantain slices on the oven rack and lightly brush the top of the plantain with olive oil.
Place the rack in the oven, leave to bake on one side for 8-12 minutes.
Once you have turned the plantain, leave to bake for another 8-12 minutes.
Leave to cool for 30 minutes and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
Notes
If you're looking for EXTRA crispy chips and you can fry them instead of baking them in the oven. This option is definitely not as healthy as baking but it is super tasty.
