Bold, warming, and full of flavor. This spicy Nigerian Assorted Meat Pepper Soup brings heat and comfort in every spoonful. Simmered in a rich, aromatic broth, it’s a party favorite served as a side or appetiser.
Place the cleaned assorted meat in a pot. Add chopped onions, garlic, salt, Knorr cubes, and half of the pepper soup spice blend. Pour in enough water to cover the meat, then bring to a boil for about 15 minutes.
Stir in the remaining pepper soup spice, scotch bonnets, crayfish powder, cayenne pepper and a splash of vegetable oil. Reduce the heat to low and taste, adjust as necessary. Add more water if needed.
After about 10 minutes, add scent leaves or basil. Simmer gently until the meat is tender and the broth is fragrant.
