Wash the beans thoroughly and remove any visible stones or dirt.
Place the beans in a pot, add two cups of water, and season with salt to taste. Bring the water to a boil and cook the beans for 10-15 minutes, or until they are firm.
Rinse the rice three times in a large bowl to remove excess starch. Then, add the rice to the pot and add two cups of water, or enough to cover the beans and rice. Stir well.
Let the ingredients cook on medium heat for 10-15 minutes, or until the rice is fluffy and fully cooked.
