These Tiramisu Brownies are indulgent, creamy and delicious. They have a gooey, fudgy texture and a velvety coffee-flavored mascarpone topping and are dusted with cocoa powder. Serve as dessert!
Preheat the oven to 350°F/175°C. Line an 8 or 9-inch square baking tin with parchment paper.
Add the chopped dark chocolate and butter to a bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted.
Mix the brown sugar and granulated sugar into the melted chocolate.
Add the vanilla extract, then the eggs, one at a time, whisking each until fully incorporated.
Then, sift the flour and salt into the mixture and gently fold or whisk until combined.
Next, pour the brownie batter into the prepared tin and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until done.
Once the brownies are ready, remove from the oven and poke holes into the brownies. Pour the espresso shots over the brownies and set aside to cool.
Mascarpone Cream
For the mascarpone topping, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, vanilla extract and heavy cream for about 30 seconds until combined.
Then, add the espresso powder and powdered sugar, and whisk for 2-3 minutes until stiff peaks form.
Spread the mascarpone cream evenly over the cooled brownies and smooth the top.
Dust the tiramisu brownies with cocoa powder using a sieve.
Carefully remove the brownies from the tin and peel away the parchment paper.
Cut the brownies into equal-sized squares and enjoy!

Notes
Alcohol: To mimic the flavors of tiramisu, you can soak the brownies in Marsala wine, Sambuca, Amaretto, dark rum, or brandy.
Brownies: Save time by using a brownie mix and following the remaining steps of the recipe.
Slicing: Keep a cup of warm water and a paper towel handy when cutting the brownies. Dip the knife in the warm water and wipe it clean with a paper towel for neat, clean slices.
