Notes
Eggnog: Use a good-quality eggnog for the best flavor. Homemade eggnog also works beautifully.
Mixing: Be gentle when making the mascarpone filling. Overmixing can cause the mascarpone to become runny or grainy, which may stop the tiramisu from setting properly. Folding the ingredients together lightly will keep the filling smooth, creamy, and airy.
Dish: You can make this tiramisu in a large dish or assemble it in dessert cups for elegant single servings. If you want an alcohol-free version, simply use plain eggnog and skip any added rum.
Swap: If you’d rather not use coffee, replace it with strong black tea, milk, hot chocolate, or chicory.
