These viral buldak noodles are a popular Korean instant noodle brand with different flavors. Some popular flavors include carbonara, spicy habanero, and lime. Today, we’re making the extra hot flavor; however, you can follow the same steps for the other flavors.
These creamy Buldak noodles have gone viral over the last few years, and for good reason. They are spicy, flavorful, and soft, making them a great quick dinner option. In addition, there are lots of different ways to make it. For example, you can add milk to give it a creamy base or add water to make buldak ramen, it's entirely up to you.
I have tried and tested all of the different methods, and this one is my favorite. The noodles are cooked in a creamy sauce that combines egg yolk, milk, Buldak sauce, cheese, and mayo, making the flavors a lot richer. Then, I like to add dumplings, eggs, scallions, and chili oil for even more flavor!

- Kewpie mayo: If you don't have kewpie mayo, then use regular mayo instead.
- Optional add-ins: soft-boiled eggs, chili oil, scallions, sesame seeds, dumplings, and rice cakes.
Tips and Substitutions
- Noodles: Do not overcook the noodles when boiling because they will become too soft once cooked in the sauce. You may also enjoy these Chinese Beef Noodles.
- Adjustments: Depending on your preferred consistency, you may have to adjust the water and milk content.
- Timing: Make the add-ins before or at the same time as the noodles to ensure they’re ready simultaneously.
- Variations: If you are a ramen lover, go heavy on the noodle water and reserve about 3-4 cups to get the ramen effect. Conversely, if you prefer drier noodles, cook until most of the moisture is gone. For an extra creamy and cheesy dish, add ½-1 cup of milk and ¼ cup of mozzarella.
