How to Prepare Cajun Shrimp Salad
Making this refreshing salad takes some preparation, but the beautiful and colorful end result is totally worth it. First, you want to wash and chop a head of romaine lettuce to your liking. Then, you want to wash, chop, and/or peel the following:
- 1
handful of baby tomatoes - ½
carrot - 1
avocado - ¼
- ½ cup of prawns
Once your raw ingredients are freshly sliced, diced, and ready to go, you can start combining all of your ingredients and watch the magic take hold.
Making the Cajun Shrimp Salad Recipe
1. In one bowl, add the chopped romaine lettuce, baby tomatoes, carrot, avocado, 4 tablespoon of your favorite Greek yogurt, ¼ teaspoon of lemon juice, a few drops of olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
2. In a second bowl, add the prawns, a few drops of sunflower oil, salt and pepper, and a few pinches of Cajun seasoning to your preference. Add these ingredients to a pan and fry the prawns for 3-5 minutes.
3. When the prawns are done frying, add them to the first bowl of your freshly chopped ingredients. Sprinkle chili flakes on top and enjoy!
Storage Options
The salad and vegetable ingredients can last several days in the fridge. You may want to eat the prawns more quickly, as seafood doesn’t keep. You can always freeze portions of it for a later time!
