Is there anything better than cheesy garlic bread?
Instead of buying frozen garlic bread from the supermarket, you can easily recreate it at home with just a few simple ingredients. Serve this appetizer with Cheese Puff Pastry Christmas Tree, Baked Garlic Parmesan Wings or Oven Baked Skin On Fries.
How to Make Gridded Cheesy Bread Recipe
- Preheat the oven to 180C/350F. Melt the unsalted butter in the microwave for 30-50 seconds and set aside. Then, crush the garlic cloves, roughly chop the parsley and add them to the melted butter. Add a pinch of salt to taste and then stir well.
- Use a serrated knife to cut diagonally across the loaf to create a diamond shape. Be careful not to cut all the way through the loaf.
- Use a teaspoon to add the garlic butter and grated cheese (do not finish the cheese) in between each crack. Once all the cracks are filled wrap the bread in foil and bake in the oven for 15 minutes to melt the cheese. After 15 minutes remove the loaf from the oven and sprinkle the leftover cheese on top. Then, put the loaf back in the oven for 5-7 minutes with the foil open. After this remove the cheesy garlic bread from the oven and leave to cool for 5 minutes.
