Salads are great, but sometimes they can get boring. But you may still feel inclined to eat them because of all the wonderful health benefits they provide. We feel you. Salads will lose their flair..which is why we wanted to spruce things up a bit.
Today’s recipe features a fresh salmon salad, which uses all organic ingredients and tons of vegetables to give you a bit of everything on the food pyramid. And don’t worry; with this salad, there are no sides required. This is the main course, and it will surely fill you up like one!
How to Make Fresh Salmon Salad with Avocado
1. Get a large bowl for marinating your salmon. Add 2-3 tablespoon of soy sauce, salt and pepper to taste, and a drizzle of honey to the bowl. Mix it together. Then add 4 salmon fillets and let them marinate in the mixture for 30-40 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, add your remaining salad ingredients to a mixing bowl. Mix together ½ bag of mixed salad leaves, 4 chopped handfuls of baby tomatoes, 8 sliced carrots, 8 sliced radishes, 2 chopped avocados, and a drizzle of olive oil. Toss the salad and set aside until your salmon is done.
3. In a frying pan, heat up some oil and a handful of sesame seeds. Add the marinated salmon fillets to the pan and sear for about 3-5 minutes on each side. Once they’re done, remove them from the pan and place them on top of your salad.
4. Split into 4 servings and enjoy!
