Why Make A Non-Alcoholic Pineapple Drink
This drink is more than just a smoothie. It’s light and refreshing enough to drink with a meal or during a cocktail hour. And the best part is that everyone gets to enjoy: kids included!
During the summer, my family loves to cook festive meals outside. And no celebration is complete without a colorful drink to sip on. But it’s not so fun for the kids when they get left empty-handed. With this non-alcoholic tropical pineapple drink, no one feels left out.
Can I Make This Pineapple Drink Into a Cocktail?
Yes, it’s quite easy, and delcious to turn this mocktail into a cocktail. Simply add a shot of your favorite clear alcohol, and you’ll be instanlty transported to a tropical island vacation.
How to Decorate Homemade Pineapple Drinks
Why not go the extra mile and add some fun and festive decorations to your tropical pineapple drink glasses? Eveyone will get in the celebratory spirit.
To decorate your glasses, spread a few tablespoons of sugar out on a flat plate. Dip the rim of each cocktail glass in water. Then dip them in the sugar. You’ll end up with perfectly frosted rims.
Meanwhile, grill some extra sliced pineapple to decorate each glass with an extra pop of color and bite of fruit. If you already have the BBQ going for dinner, then grilled pineapple chunks are quick and easy to make. Simply leave them on a hot grill just long enough to devleop some nice char marks.
However, if you’re not using the grill, you can just as easily char some pineapple on a griddle pan like the one below (click the image below for more).
Finally, add the finishing tough to each each glass with fresh mint leaves, as pictured.
How to make Non-Alcoholic Tropical Pineapple Drinks
Here are the quick and easy steps to blend up juicy, flavor-packed pineapple mocktails any night (or day) of the week:
- Peel pineapple and chop it into chunks.
- Add the pineapple, lemon and water to a smoothie maker. Blend until smooth.
- Finally, sieve the mixture. Add ice to a cup and pour in the non-alcoholic pineapple drink. Enjoy 🙂
Ingredient Alternatives To Make This Mocktail Your Own
Add pears and bananas to this tropical slushie recipe to give it some extra flavor. It will disappear in seconds! However, it’s easy to mix and match the ingredients to build a drink that you love. For example, you can add more pineapples and skip the bananas and pears if you prefer a 100% pineapple drink. Likewise, you can add more bananas and pears for a thicker, creamier non-alcoholic drink.
Finally, you can even use pineapple juice instead of real pineapples to make this non-alcoholic pineapple drink. It might not have quite the same thick body, however.
How To Store Non-Alcoholic Tropical Pineapple Drink
This drink is best served right away. However, you can cover and store it in the fridge for 24 hours. For best flavor, give the drink a quick blend just before serving.
