A refreshing, energy-boosting pineapple mango smoothie! Make this smoothie in under 5 minutes with a few simple ingredients.
Pineapple Mango Smoothie Ingredients
This pineapple mango smoothie is such a delight. You can have it for breakfast or as a snack. The recipe below makes two servings if you use medium-sized cups and 1 serving if you serve it in a jar. I personally love using jars because they are easy to carry around and I don’t have to drink everything in one go.
- Pineapples are used to make this smoothie. It is important that the pineapples are frozen in order to achieve the perfect smoothie texture. You can use shop-bought frozen pineapples or freeze fresh pineapples the night before. To freeze pineapples, peel a pineapple, then chop it into equal-sized chunks. Add them to a freezer bag and freeze for a minimum of 12 hours.
- Mangoes add sweetness to this smoothie, and they will also need to be frozen to create a smooth texture. Like the pineapples, you can use shop-bought mangoes or freeze the mangoes yourself. Make sure you remove the skin and seed from the mango before freezing.
- Almond milk will loosen the consistency of this smoothie. I usually add between 2-3 cups to this recipe.
How to Make a Pineapple Mango Smoothie
- Add 1 cup of frozen pineapples, 1 cup of frozen mangoes and pour in 2-3 cups of almond milk. Blend the mixture until smooth.
- Pour the mixture into a cup or jar and enjoy!
Alternatives
You can use any type of milk in this recipe. For a vegan option use coconut milk, soy milk, oat milk, hemp milk, or any other type of plant-based milk.
You can also use dairy milk or low-fat milk.
If you want to add a kick to this smoothie then you can add ½ a tbsp of fresh ginger and squeeze in some fresh lemon juice.
To make this smoothie extra creamy add ¼ cup of yoghurt.
