Once upon a time, you would have NEVER caught me eating oatmeal. I remember having so many bad experiences with it as a child. I concluded that oatmeal was a warm bowl of soggy goo and I decided to steer clear from it.
Fast forward to a few years ago when I crossed paths with oats again. It was the start of my health and fitness journey and I was learning about different breakfast options and I kept coming across oats so I knew I had to find a way to add them to my diet.
Toppings
I added different healthy toppings to my bowl to make them more interesting. Some healthy toppings include:
- Fruits
- Seeds (pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds and flax seeds)
- Sugar and palm oil free nut butters (cashew butter, peanut butter and almond butter)
- Yogurt (Greek yogurt or dairy-free yogurt)
- Organic dark chocolate and much more
